Back then Jill and I lived in Piedmont, South Dakota. My office\/recording studio window was open to the west and my view afforded me many views of the foothills of the Black Hills.<\/p>\n<p>One morning I was opening the curtains in my office to survey the new morning that was upon us. As I soon as I did&#8230; the sun was rising from the east and resting on the Ponderosa Pines of the Black Hills. It was a stunning moment and it literally took my breath away. It is a moment that is forever burned in my memory. Even now as I pause to remember, I find myself missing Western South Dakota. What a wonderful place!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s in moments like this I find myself deeply inspired and I started writing a song asking God to be with me as this new day begins. As I grow older, I am wanting God&#8217;s guidance more and more. Especially over the last years.
