I am always growing as a musician, engineer and producer&#8230; AND let me stress&#8230; I am not, I&#8217;ll repeat&#8230; I am not an expert in recording\/production, but&#8230; I believe I am improving daily! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Through the Veil of Tears was written and recorded a few days after we lost our beloved Weimaraner, Aubrey. Goodness&#8230; just thinking about it in this moment makes my heart physically hurt. She was my little girl whom we tried everything we could to save her&#8230; but sadly she succumbed to heart failure. The night she left us&#8230; I have never cried so hard in all my life.<\/p>\n<p>The days that followed her passing&#8230; we could hardly function&#8230; heartbroken, and the measure of pain was something I can&#8217;t articulate here. I wrote an acoustic piece of the same name as this track a couple days afterwards&#8230; literally cried tears in the studio as I was searching for comfort.<\/p>\n<p>About 4 days after losing Aubrey&#8230; I woke up in bed and heard the words&#8230; &#8220;GET UP!&#8221; I bounced out of bed and sat down in the studio and wrote, and recorded this song in a few hours time. It was&#8230; a breakthrough moment. It&#8217;s about moving on from the pain and suffering of loss and let me also stress, I am not expert that area as well&#8230; BUT, in those moments of recording this song&#8230; I felt as through the sun was starting to shine again!<\/p>\n<p>Also&#8230; not only did God bless me with this song&#8230; but later that night&#8230; we got Moose, our Vizsla who has challenged us on sooooooooooooooo many levels&#8230; but has taught me SO much about God&#8217;s love for me!
