“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
There’s a desire that I believe is built into our life and being. That is the heart to know God. To seek out the meaning of life and to find God. Some might not be able to figure out what is causing them to seek… but, God isn’t hard to find!
I remember reading a book about one of my favorite musicians Kerry Livgren. He was the principle songwriter in the band Kansas. His story outlines his search for God. He read books after books, and then even more books! Ultimately his search led him to Jesus… and a lifelong salvation experience.
Kerry might not have directly sought after God… as he was looking in all the wrong places. But his search was ultimately for God. His story is a beautiful picture of God’s promise noted in Jeremiah 29:13. May God always be our ultimate pursuit!
